My name is Peter but some call me P.T.G or Petethegod. The name Petethegod was created in high school because most people thought I was the god of fashion based on the way I dressed. In high school, I just wanted to look different from everyone else and so I used fashion as an outlet which I began to take more seriously during my second year of college. I wanted to start my own brand because I felt like in fashion, rules are meant to be broken , and theirs an opportunity to brake the glass ceiling especially when it comes to expressing yourself. The person that really inspired me to get started with fashion was Kanye West because as an icon, he was a realist towards every situation he encountered. I remember when Kanye wore a distress plain white tee and rip jeans, I realized he didn’t wear it to make a fashion statement but he wore it to express his comfortability through clothing. This revealed to me that high fashion and simple, comfortable clothing weren’t mutually exclusive. Ultimately, my brand Petethegod represents simplicity. Making this brand become a revolution in today’s industry of fashion is my main mission. I hope my creative vision touches the lives of you all.
